Fort Day 1
Game 2
Game two today consisted of the Crusaders and the Senators. Senators got on the board first in the bottom of the first on a passed ball to give them a 1-0 lead. The Crusaders, in the second inning, turned a nice 6-4-3 double play. It was later followed by catcher Hurp throwing a runner out trying to steal second. An RBI from Davis ties the game up for the Crusaders at 1. An RBI double from Griffin gave the Senators a 2-1 lead. An RBI from Shelton gave them a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the third. An RBI single from Jenkins extended the lead to 4-1. Jenkins took home after a rundown attempt to give the Senators a 5-1 lead. #24 Brylen hit an RBI single to left making the score 5-2.
Game 3
Diamond Nation and the Bulls took game 3. Bell put Nation up 3-0 in the bottom of the third on a bases-clearing triple to deep center. Nation scored again in the bottom of the fourth on an HBP taken by Aiden Janow. Ditmore walked, giving Nation a 5-0 lead in the fourth. Fletcher threw out his second runner of the game for Nation from behind the plate in the top of the fifth. Bulls scored in the top of the fifth on an RBI ground ball from Harmon. Knutsen walked to give Nation a 6-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth. Wright followed that up with a walk, 7-1 Nation. Final score 8-2.
Heritage Day 2
Game 1
Senators and Redstitch 108 played in game one. In the first, King threw out a runner trying to steal third. 108 took the lead in the in the second, scoring two runs on a passed ball to give them the early 2-0 lead. They scored again, on another passed ball, making it a 3-0 lead in the second with only one out. Hamic, for 108, threw out a runner trying to steal second, showing a good arm. A two-run homerun from Harper gave 108 a 5-0 lead. A two-run RBI single from Harper gave 108 a 7-0 lead in the sixth. Soto followed up with an RBI single, giving them an 8-0 lead. It was 9-0 after a walk from Matlox. 10-0 final score, Fray threw a complete game shutout.
Game 2
Senators and the Crusaders played in game two of the day today. Crusaders struck first with an RBI single from Skeen. A three-run RBI triple from Mortiz gave them a 4-0 lead in the first. A ground ball to short from Elmendorf scored two more runs, 6-0 Crusaders. A sac fly from Borges increased the lead to 7-0 in the first for the Crusaders. Cross walked to score another run for the Crusaders. A two-run RBI double for Milsaps extended the lead to 10-0 for the Crusaders. Elmendorf walks, 11-. Crusaders scored on a passed ball, 12-0, followed by a single from Borges making the score 13-. A base hit from Garrett gaves them a 14-0 lead in the second. Final score 15-0.
Game 3
108 and Diamond Mine took game three. 108 struck first when Harper walked to score their first run of the game. A Fielder’s choice from Franklin put 108 up 2-0 in the first. Then Lawson advanced home after a throw down to second, making it a 3-0 advantage for 108. Anders for Diamond Mine hit a two-run double and advanced to third on the throw home to score two, making it a 3-2 game in the bottom of the first. Mine tied up the game on a single to left from Becker. Kirkland led off the second with a triple to right. Dalton hit an RBI single to give 108 the lead 4-3. Lawson led off the top of the third with a double off the wall. Massengill hit a sac fly to center to score a run, 5-3. #11 Massengill hit a double to left center to score another run, 6-3 108. Kirkland hit a single up the middle for an RBI, 7-3 score. Dalton, with an RBI single, moved the scoreboard to 8-3. Anders hit an RBI double off the left field fence, helping Mine claw back, 8-4. Lawson, with another RBI on the day, gave 108 a 9-4 lead. Chamberlain, with a two RBI single gave 108 an 11-4 lead. A passed ball gave them a 12-4 lead in the fifth. An RBI single form Fray extended the lead to 13-4. An RBI single from Lawson made the score 14-4. A ground ball to third scored two more, 108 led 16-4 in the fifth. 16-4 final score.
Game 4
Prospex took on Tri Star in game 4. Stanton hit a two-run RBI double to put the Prospex on the board 2-0 in the first. Chaffin followed up with an RBI single to give them a 3-0 lead, then scored on a passed ball later in the inning giving them a 4-0 start. An RBI groundout from Garrison gave Prospex a 5-0 lead. Fairbanks followed that up with a single up the middle to give the Prospex a 6-0 lead in the second. A three-run double, down the left field line from Federer, gave Prospex a 9-0 lead followed by a single from Clements increasing the lead to 10-. An RBI single from Stanton increased the lead to 11-0. Sam led off the bottom of the fourth for Tri Star with a double off the left field fence. Final score 12-0.
Game 5
Thunder took on the Dbacks in game five of the day at Heritage. Thunder struck first on the top of the first on a two-run RBI double from Batrez. Lunsford hit a two-run RBI triple, giving the Thunder a 4-0. Finney got an RBI ground ball, making the score 5-0 in the first with no outs. Long and Francis with back to back walks gave the Thunder a 7-0 lead in the first. A ground ball to third from Batrez gave the Thunder an 8-0 lead. Finney hit a leadoff double for the Thunder and then stole third. He score one a passed ball, 9-0 in the second. Back-to-back RBI singles from McCormack and Ayers give the Thunder an 11-0 lead in the fourth. Lorroln hit a double to the left field fence for the Dbacks in the fourth. Dback got on the board in the fourth after a ground ball to short from Molder, 11-1 score. Tate also played a key factor in the win for the Thunder.
Game 6
Thunder and Prospex played game six here at Heritage. Smith hit an RBI single to score a run, and Lunsford follows that up with a two RBI single giving the Thunder an early 3-0 lead in the first. Prospex got on the board in the first on a sac fly to center hit by Chaffin. Prospex scored a second run in the inning on a ground ball to third from Wilks. Garrison got an RBI single making the score tied at three before the end of the first inning. An RBI single from Tate puts the Thunder up 4-3 in the second inning. An RBI single from Batrez gave the Thunder a 5-3 lead. Lunsford hit another RBI single to extend the lead to 6-3. Johnson took an HBP for the Prospex to shorten the deficit to 6-4 in the bottom of the second. Thunder stuck in the fourth with a bases-loaded single from Finney to score one, 7-4 the score. McCormick hit in another run, making the score 8-4 with two outs in the top of the fourth. Long walked to increase the Thunder lead to 9-4 in the fourth. 9-4 final.
Fort Day 3
Game 1
Crusaders and the Stars had a nail biter in game one here to open July the Fourth. Both teams battled hard with good pitching and defense. Stars took a 2-0 lead in the top of the sixth and held on to that to go on to win. 2-0 as the final score.
Game 2
Game two was between the Dbacks and the Prospex. Chaffin hit a sac fly to left to put the prospex on theboard in the bottom of the second. Clements hit an RBI double to left to increase the Prospex lead to 2-0. An RBI groundout from Bush made it 3-0 in the third for the Prospex. Three hits in a row scored another run for the Prospex, the RBI single coming from Staton, 4-0 after the third. Wilks, with an RBI ground ball to second, scored another run for the Prospex. A base hit from Staton to increased the lead to 6-0 in the fifth. Lovvern got the Dbacks on the board with an RBI single to shallow right, 6-1 score in the sixth. Crosslen walked to score a run for the Dbacks in the seventh, 6-2 the score. An HBP taken by Long scored another run. A three-run double from Parker tied the game 6-6 in the seventh with two outs. Bush got a base hit up the middle to win the game for the Prospex, 7-6.
Game 3
Game three was played between the Aces and CBC. Aces took the lead early in the top of the first with an RBI groundout from Will. Jarett led off the second with a double to deep center. CBC tied it up in the bottom of the second on a single up the middle from Napier. An RBI double in the bottom of the third from Doolin gave CBC a 2-1 advantage. A passed ball made the score 3-1 in the third. An RBI ground out from Seigler gave CBC a 4-1 lead. RBI single for Cordello put him 3-3 on the day and made the score 4-2. An infield single for Simpson scored a run for CBC, 5-2 the score. A base hit up the middle from Reeves scored another for CBC, 6-2 the score in the bottom of the fourth. Seigler walked to score a run, 7-2. 8-2 final score after an RBI single to right from Stivers.
