The NET Elite PG Super 25 Super Qualifier this past weekend was a huge success. Shout out to The Summit Park staff for their work getting the fields ready despite the weather conditions. The tournament was moved to a one day, Saturday only event in an effort to get the event in which proved to be a great move as we completed the tournament and awarded champions.
In the 7U division Middle Valley and Kings Baseball both rolled through pool play with 2-0 records advancing to bracket play where they eventually met again in the Championship where Kings Baseball scored the walk-off run in the bottom of the 6thto win the Championship!
The 9U division featured RedStitch, eXposure Elite, Tullahoma Wildcats and Chattanooga RiverCats in Bracket play with RedStitch topping Tullahoma while eXpoure Elite pushed past Chattanooga RiverCats. RedStitch continued their strong play in the Championship game beating eXposure Elite 12-2 to take home the Championship.
The 10U division had Tribe and eXposure Elite both go 2-0 in pool play moving them into match-ups with Cleveland Elite and eXposure Silver in bracket play. Tribe won a barn burner against Cleveland Elite 4-3 to advance while eXposure Silver took down foe eXposure Elite 8-0. The championship game was one for the ages with eXposure Silver coming from behind with a 5 run top of the 6thinning to go up 7-5. Tribe scored one in the bottom of the 6thbefore eXposure Silver was able to close it out and get the win 7-6 and the title!
The 11U division featured a great line-up with teams coming from Knoxville to Atlanta and everywhere in between. There was strong play by N. GA Blue Claws, Blue Devils Baseball, eXposure Prime and Battlefield Braves all advancing to bracket play. Both semi-finals were great games with the Battlefield Braves getting past the N. GA Blue Claws 3-1 and Blue Devils pulling it out against eXposure Prime with a 5-4 win. The championship turned out to be just as competitive with the Blue Devils taking a 4-3 win over Battlefield and claiming the 11U Super 25 Super Qualifier Championship!
